What “great delivery” really means, from our new Delivery Director

We sat down with Nicole to chat about her new role as Delivery Director and what it means for our team and clients at Coterie. As we continue to grow and support complex partner marketing programmes, great delivery is about more than timelines and outputs; it is about creating clarity, confidence, and consistently high standards at every stage of the journey. Nicole shares how her focus is shifting from leading individual projects to shaping how we deliver at scale, and how that will elevate the experience for both our clients and our team.

1) Congratulations on your promotion to Delivery Director. How does this new role differ from what you were doing before, and what are you most excited to take ownership of?

Thank you! I’m really excited about it. Previously, my focus was largely on leading and delivering specific elements of client work end-to-end: ensuring we were producing high-quality outputs, keeping momentum, and driving the right outcomes.

In this new role, the scope shifts from delivering projects to also building the conditions for great delivery at scale across the team. It’s more about shaping how we deliver across the whole team: our standards, our rhythm, our consistency, and the systems that make great work repeatable.

What I’m most excited to take ownership of is how we work – our operating rhythm, quality standards, and the systems that make delivery smoother and more consistent. That includes helping us improve throughput, have clear expectations, and make sure the work feels as good internally as it does externally for clients. If we can deliver excellence and make the work feel more efficient and predictable internally, everyone wins.

 

2) Delivery is such a critical part of client experience. What does “great delivery” mean to you, and how do you bring that to life at Coterie?

To me, great delivery is when clients feel calm and confident throughout the work, not just happy with the end result. At Coterie, that comes to life through a few simple things: setting expectations early, being proactive in communication, maintaining a consistent quality bar, and running a tight feedback loop so we’re not iterating endlessly. And importantly, great delivery is about continuous improvement and helping elevate our outputs for our clients.

 

3) What do you enjoy most about working with the Coterie team and our clients?

The people, without question. The team has a rare mix of high standards and genuine care – for their work, for each other, and for doing things properly. That makes collaboration feel energising, which is especially important in a remote environment.

With clients, I love that we’re often brought into complex partner ecosystems where there’s a lot happening at once, such as multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and high expectations. We’re good at bringing structure and support to that complexity and turning it into progress. Those moments when a client goes from “this feels messy” to “this feels clear and under control” are very satisfying.

 

4) As you step into this role, what are you most focused on improving or evolving in how we deliver work for our clients?

Together with the delivery team, we’ll be focusing on becoming even more insight-led, innovative, and strong strategic advisors. From content to design and campaigns, we’ll help our clients move forward with confidence by aligning our outputs with what success looks like and how the work connects to broader business and partner goals.

Our team is passionate about innovation – what tools and frameworks can solve problems? Where does AI add value? What new tech could support our clients in addressing their challenges? We want our clients to know that they’re working with a team that keeps them ahead, not just up to speed.

Ultimately, it’s about combining excellent execution with strategic thinking and fresh ideas, so every engagement feels high-quality, high-impact, and genuinely progressive.

 

5) Looking ahead, what excites you most about Coterie’s direction and your role in shaping it?

Coterie is constantly evolving to remain at the forefront of partner marketing. We’re always listening to our clients and adapting to their needs within changing markets. To me, that’s extremely exciting – we’re intentional about delivering value and embedding our unique Coterie culture that clients recognise and trust.

My role in this is ensuring we have the strongest delivery engine behind the scenes, so that our team can do their best work, clients feel the difference, and we continuously optimise ways of working that support quality, efficiency, and innovation all at once.
