We are looking for a talented, experienced Proposition Marketing Manager to join our growing team at Coterie Marketing. You will work closely alongside the Coterie Directors supporting our two major client offerings; value proposition development and go-to-market plan creation.

What does the role entail?

1.) Value Proposition development

You will be supporting the Coterie Directors in the creation of value propositions for our broad range of IT, digital and telecoms clients. Following our proven methodology you will:

  • Help organise and shadow the Directors in client facing value proposition workshops (note taking etc)
  • Run telephone interviews with clients and/or their partners using our set questionnaires to gather further information
  • Create storyboard outlines for the propositions based on information gathered in the workshops and/or telephone interviews plus any additional desk based research
  • Create draft propositions (with support from our copy editor as required)
  • Test the proposition with clients either face to face or via conference calls
  • Refine the proposition based on feedback and drive it through to completion and sign off

2.) Go-to-market plan development and execution

You will be supporting the Coterie Directors in the development of 12 week GTM plans.

Following our proven methodology you will:

  • Help organise and shadow the Directors in client facing workshops
  • Run telephone interviews with clients and/or their partners using our set questionnaires to gather further information
  • Create draft GTM plans and come up with creative marketing ideas
  • Gain client /multi stakeholder sign off
  • Manage the GTM and address obstacles
  • Where required, deliver some of the detailed elements in the 12 week programme
  • Product and/or proposition marketing manager experience – minimum 5 years
  • Experience working for a Systems Integrator or Telecoms/Network provider in the software and solution space
  • Good knowledge and interest of the industry and related technology including; Cloud, Network – NFV/SDN, Security, IoT, Digitalisation, Vertical markets (optional)
  • Good customer interview skills with the ability to build trust and respect in order to drill down and gather the information required
  • Good understanding of the difference between end customer/business focused messaging (which is fact based) versus marketing strapline (in line with the Coterie style)
  • Good at articulating the key messages from internal stakeholders through to what that means to end customers
  • Good at coming up with fresh thinking ideas for campaigns
  • Experience working with partners or within channel environments
  • Copy writing experience
  • Experience either within sales or working with sales teams

This is a work-from-home position, but there would be the requirement to occasionally travel to London and northern cities. International travel would also be required from time to time.
